Advocacy and press : orders and decrees.
For more than 35 years, the family planning centres have benefited from an increasing recognition from the authorities. They also evolved in accordance with the reform of the Belgian State which divided the unitary structure of the country in several regions and communities.
The family planning sector was thus first organised by means of orders of the king (in the 70s) and then by community decrees (in the 80s). Nowadays, it is organised this way :
In Wallony
By the decree of 18 jully 1997.
By the implementing law of 18 and 29 october 1998.
